Superpasaporte (2018)

The Hyperpassport/Superpasaporte is a document of linguistic, legal, and civic hacking: a one page forged passport, modeled after my own, reproduced in incremental sizes for better visibility of anti-forgery patterns and designs.

The Hyperpassport is the thought experiment from one of the 200k Salvadorans set to lose employment and residency rights as the TPS program comes to an end. It explores the matrix of power that binds self, nation, and the “extranjero” (the foreign land/the abroad).

It simply asks – how do we stay? What kind of rehabilitated citizenship will it take for the stranger to remain in the stranger’s land?
